David Goldberg, M.D., J.D., Joins Medical Advisory Board of Ra Medical Systems, Inc.

Carlsbad, CA, December 8, 2008, Ra Medical Systems, a leading manufacturer of Excimer lasers for the treatment of psoriasis, vitiligo, and atopic-dermatitis, announces that Dr. David Goldberg has joined the company’s advisory board. Dr. Goldberg complements the current medical advisors, leading scientists in their fields.

“Dr. Goldberg is an invaluable voice on the advisory board as it assists us in mapping out strategic direction in the creation and development of Ra Medical Systems’ products,” commented James Laudenslager, PhD., Director of Research and Development at Ra Medical.

Dr. David Goldberg brings with him a wealth of experience. A graduate from Yale University and a clinical professor and director at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Goldberg is recognized both nationally and internationally for his innovative work with skin lasers. Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Goldberg said, "I have owned a PHAROS excimer laser for almost five years and remain thrilled to be involved with Ra Medical's innovative technology. This laser has made a meaningful difference in improving my patients' skin."

He is a board-certified dermatologist who has been in practice since 1985. Dr. Goldberg has published numerous academic papers and has contributed to over 10 academic textbooks. Dr. Goldberg was elected president of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine & Surgery. He also served as chair of the Ethics Committees of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Additionally, he sat on the board of directors of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Goldberg was recently elected to the board of directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and Secretary to the board of directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
