PHAROS™ Technology Exhibited at 22nd Annual Meeting of the World Congress of Dermatology
SEOUL, Korea, May 25, 2011 —Ra Medical Systems Inc.’s PHAROS™ Technology was exhibited at the 22nd Annual Meeting of the World Congress of Dermatology, May 24 to 29, 2011, at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul. Ra Medical Systems was the only excimer laser manufacturer to exhibit at the meeting.
The World Congress of Dermatology is the premier international dermatological meeting and takes place only once every four years. It is the largest global event featuring the latest advancements in skin health, organized under the auspices of the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS). The ILDS has 127 member societies from all corners of the globe.
The PHAROS EX-308 Excimer laser treatment for proliferative skin disorders, including psoriasis and vitiligo, is backed by years of scientific and clinical evidence. Most recently, Dr. David Goldberg, clinical professor and director of the Laser Research in the department of Dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the Medical Director of Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey, published his findings on the PHAROS’ efficacy for palmoplantar psoriasis in April 2011. The study, “308-nm Excimer laser treatment of palmoplantar psoriasis” is available in the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, 2011; 13:47-49.
During the 5-day World Congress, Ra Medical Systems clinical staff conducted educational clinics for leading dermatologists from more than 35 countries from 6 continents.
